On behalf of the members of Lambda Rho Zeta, the Pontiac, Michigan Chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, I welcome you to the chapter’s official website.   Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about our Chapter.

This has been and continues to be exciting for Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated.  On January 16, 2024, this great sisterhood celebrated 104 years.   The vision of our five illustrious Pearls: Arizona Cleaver Stemons, Pearl Anna Neal, Myrtle Tyler Faithful, Viola Tyler Goings, and Fannie Pettie Watts remains true today.   It is amazing that these five collegiate women more than 103 years ago created a sorority built upon the principles of Scholarship, Service, Sisterhood, and Finer Womanhood.

We are known nationally for our work in the programmatic initiative - Z-HOPE (Zetas Helping Other People Excel) and have won national, regional, and state awards for our efforts. In 2016, the Lambda Rho Zeta Chapter was awarded 1st place at our National Boule and Regional Conference for Z-HOPE. Recognition has come to this chapter from the Michigan State Organization for being the 2016 and 2017 Outstanding Chapter of the state. 

 

In 2023, The Lambda Rho Zeta Chapter was awarded 1st place, for Scholarship distributions, by graduate chapters in our chapter size category, at the Great Lakes Regional Conference.

Since January 22, 1983, Lambda Rho Zeta has upheld the principles in the Greater Pontiac, Michigan community. Each year we give back to the community in the form of scholarships.  Since 1983 we have awarded more than 160 scholarships.
